Medicare

What is Medicare Insurance?

Medicare is a federal health insurance program for people who are 65 or older. People with disabilities under the age of 65 can also be eligible for Medicare. Original Medicare is made up of Part A and Part B but there are four parts to your Medicare benefits. Medicare Part C is a private insurance option in which private insurance companies offer plans approved by Medicare. Medicare Part D authorizes Medicare approved private insurance companies to offer prescription drug coverage. “We do not offer every plan available in your area. Any information we provide is limited to those plans we do offer in your area. Please contact Medicare.gov or 1-800-MEDICARE to get information on all of your options.”
